Construction Procurement Software Features - Subcontract Change Orders (SCO)
The purpose of a Subcontract Change Order (SCO) is to modify the original Subcontract
due to a changed condition. Changes can be initiated by the Prime Contracting firm
(i.e. GC) or Subcontractor and can affect both the Subcontract amount and time.
When marked approved with an approval date, the Subcontract Change Order will affect
the Prime Contract’s committed costs on the project.
Typically, the Subcontract Change Order is formally approved and executed by the
Prime Contracting firm after the Change Proposal Request (CPR) or Change Order (CO)
process has been completed. Wizards are available to automatically create one or
more Subcontract Change Orders from these transactions. However, Subcontract Change
Orders can also be created manually regardless of the existence or status of a Change
Order.
Tracking Subcontract Change Orders is easy with Corecon. With detail and log reports,
Corecon provides you with professional documentation you can count on! Microsoft
Word templates are also available for complete customization. Plus, Corecon’s Sub
Invoice feature will eliminate over-billing by Subs and keep track of original contract
amounts and approved changes.
