Construction Estimating Software Features - Scope of Work (Inclusions, Exclusions,
Clarifications)
Besides estimate cost items, Corecon provides the ability to document scope of work
by Work Breakdown
Structure (WBS). Scope of work items are basically special comments that
can appear on an estimate proposal and can be categorized in three ways: inclusions,
exclusions, and clarifications. Many estimators that use a spreadsheet will create
extra sheets or tabs in their workbook to document these type of comments. With
Corecon, special tabs for inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications can be turned
on or off at any WBS 1 level providing the estimator complete control.
Scope of Work Breakdown
Inclusions describe the "Work" covered in the proposal that may be obvious and not
so obvious.
Exclusions describe the "Work" not covered in the proposal.
Clarifications are typically used to identify items on a drawing that are not detailed
enough to provide pricing.
