Construction Estimating Software Features - Proposals and Reporting
Once you have added your estimate items, reviewed the sub and supplier pricing,
and added sectional or global markups, you are then ready to take advantage of Corecon’s
comprehensive estimating reports. Since Corecon is a database driven system and
not a spreadsheet, generating reports in detail or summary style can be done with
a click of the button. One can also create estimate proposal templates in Microsoft
Word providing you complete customization capabilities. Markups on these reports
can be shown separately or distributed across the entire estimate.
Reporting is one of the clear differentiators when comparing Corecon with other
estimating software and spreadsheet based systems.
Generating professional looking documentation is one of Corecon’s hallmark features
and can be a challenge for construction companies that use spreadsheets. Although
information can be summarized in a spreadsheet fairly easily, one can’t easily transfer
this information to a Word document to generate a proposal or even hide markups.
Another capability of Corecon is to summarize all items by code or description for
material purchasing. This would be a challenge when using a spreadsheet!
