Construction Estimating Software Features - Markups

Estimates in Corecon can have 3 levels of markups: at the line item, section, or for the entire estimate which are referred to as Global markups.

Each estimate line item has a cost rate and sell rate for material, labor, equipment, sub, and other. Many estimators set the sell rate equal to the cost rate. However, in some cases such as in a unique item, one may want to set the sell price to be a percentage or dollar amount higher than the cost rate.

Sectional markups are similar to Global markups but only affect a particular WBS 1 section (Division, Major, Minor, or Sub-Minor). They are percentage markups on their respective section's line items.

Global markups are used for the entire estimate and include estimate line items and sectional markups. Global Markups can be a percentage or step-bond calculation.
