I've been playing around with Estimates and budgets and trying to figure out the best way to update a prime contract or CO. I noticed the Estimate Items update. There is no help file on this. Can you please explain how this works?
I've been trying to track costs via Details by Prime under Current Project Analysis under Project Center. If I go through the process of doing an estimate and then Estimate to PM wizard and create prime contract, it works fine; however, if I do Estimate to PM wizard and choose not to create prime contract, and add the line items manually to the prime contract I create, the cost is not picked up. Please explain.
When I do an "Estimate to ....." wizard, is that estimate then tied to the contract or does it only transmit information on that one time transaction?
